December Covers: Do you still have some 13th month pay left?

I hope you were able to save some of your 13th month pay and used some to buy gifts for yourself. With that, I'm sure you saved a little bit more to buy some December issues. Don't know what to pick, let me help. ;-)

1. FHM Philippines (Alice Dixon): Never in my wildest dreams she'd do a cover for FHM. I remember when she was my crush back in high school because of her fresh look and how she carries herself in Dyesebel.

2. Esquire Philippines (Tribute to the Typhoon Yolanda Victims): Esquire Philippines never fails to amaze me as they pay tribute to the people who have lost their lives due to this super typhoon. I'm looking forward for the photo essay about the typhoon and its impact to the people upclose.

3. Rogue (Andi Eigenmann): At first I thought it was Anne Curtis again until I stared on the cover longer =P . anyway, this would be another interesting issue to have for Christmas.

4. UNO (Mocha Girls): This could be an issue for keeps as UNO would feature Mocha Girls and ONLY Mocha Girls. I'm anticipating for this issue to be released sometime next week. And it also has a 2014 calendar insert together with the magazine. Unlike other magazines, all you need to do is flip the cover page to get a different cover. XD

5: Playboy Philippines (Lian Paz): Another former EB Babe is now the cover for Playboy Philippines. Despite her failed marriage, I'm sure her fans would be able to cheer her up as she gets back-up and resurrect her career. And by the way, she also has two covers which you could choose. XD

Sweet November Covers

With only a few weeks to go before Christmas, I believe you're also in a rush to do your list for the yuletide season (Just don't forget to help our fellow brothers and sisters that were ravaged by typhoon Yolanda in anyway you can). Like me, I make sure to give a gift to myself first as you also deserve it. What gift to give for yourself, here are some suggestions.

1. FHM Philippines (Danita Paner): This would be Danita's first sexy shoot as this rocker chick has finally graced the pages of FHM. While there's no denying that showbiz is in her blood, she prefers to perform onstage with her band.

2. Esquire Philippines (Cherrie Gil): A classy cover for the ages. I never imagined Ms Cherrie Gil would be in any Men's Magazine but hopefully, no copycats to follow. XD

3. Rogue (Angel Aquino): Dubbed as the Cinema Issue, I'm sure most of the contents inside would have something to do with the big screen of the past and the present. Hopefully, NO MMFF inside =P

4. UNO (Ellen Adarna): This would be Ellen's third cover since she graced the covers way back in 2008/2009. She would be the second three-time covergirl just next to Amanda Griffin. Rumors say that she'll be going back to Cebu for good so grab a copy of UNO X 90.

Oktoberfest: Your Covergirls this October

October is always synonymous with beer (Oktoberfest). But its also a good time to add up your collection (Men's Magazines). What to pick? Here are the options: 

1. FHM Philippines (Valerie "Bangs" Garcia): Bangs or should I say Valerie "Bangs" is now version 3.0 as they say she has already blossomed into a very fine sexy woman. Aside from that, she has a few talents to boost as I got to browse through my copy a few days back.

2. Esquire (US President Barrack Obama): I don't know if Esquire is running out of babes to cover or what... Seriously, it would be much better if they have interviewed the US President than just getting a transcript. Oh Well...

3. Rogue (Angel Jacob): I never imagined she would grace Rogue's cover this year (I was hoping she'd be on Rogue last year) but Thank God they did. ^_^

4. UNO (Karen Bordador and Kit Barraquias): When was the last time Kit Barraquias posed on a men's magazine? Time can only tell plus I haven't seen Karen Bordador covering in any men's magazine either. So would you pick Kit or Karen? XD

5. Playboy Philippines (Jobie Quinn): After PMOY Billy and Sky, its now Jobie's turn to grace the cover of Playboy. I haven't bought a copy but I'm sure its pretty interesting. As usual, you can pick any of the two covers again. XD

Back to School. Back to Collecting some men's magazine.

Time really flies so fast! Yesterday was just summer, then all of a sudden, we pack our (I mean your) bags and head back to school. =P

Anyway, here are some good stuff (men's magazines) that you can grab this month.


1. FHM Philippines (Jennylyn Mercado): For the third time, FHM's Hot Momma would be again gracing the cover of FHM. Kinda recycled if you asked me but hey, the contents is what I am after =P

2. Esquire Philippines (Sam Pinto): Sam is doing a Ryza Cenon??? Whatever, I kinda like the Art Issue Esquire gave us.

3. Playboy Philippines (Mae Dela Cerna): From being one of the EB Babes to having a name of her own in Mocha, Mae has already carved a name for herself in the entertainment industry. With Playboy's two covers, its hard which one to choose. XD

4. Rogue (Bianca Gonzales): This I got to see. But like it or not, this cover is also similar to FHM's May featuring Ryza Cenon and Esquire's Sam Pinto (June 2013). Anyway, I'll still get this one and try to find other old issues as well.

3. Rogue (Katrina Razon): I Don't have any idea who she is but she looks fil-foreigner to me. This issue could be another food issue as they have an insider feature on eating in Manila plus how Pinoy Cuisine is conquering the Big Apple. I'll watch out for it.

Sizzling Covers for April

April 1st marks the beginning of Summer (My standard is that after Easter Sunday, that's my official start of summer =P). But it'll be much hotter once you see who would be the covergirl/coverboys of some magazines that I collect. XD


1. FHM Philippines (Sunshine Cruz): Materyales Fuertes is back and there's no one stopping her from gracing the covers once more. After thirteen years, several job changes and all, she's still materyales fuertes that I know way back.

2. Esquire Philippines (Louie Ysmael/Eric Cua): The Kings of the Manila Club Scene is our coverboys for this month. I'm kinda curious on how this issue would be but it would still be a good buy anyway.

3. Rogue (G Toengi-Walters): Since she left the country in 2000, most of her fan wonder when she will come back. And when she graced the covers of Rogue on a Dietreitch-inspired shoot, I'm sure all of her fans (old and new) would be delighted to see her once more.

4. Playboy Philippines (2012 Playmates): They have this habit of having more than one covergirl in almost every issue especially if its their 5th Anniversary Issue. Better get ready for the Untamed Seduction. I'm looking forward to grab a copy once its available.

Summer Starts with them (March Covergirls)

It is inevitable. The weather begins to get hotter and hotter. And after Holy Week, its already summer. 

And these magazines do have their covergirls sizzle us up for the summer. I'm sure you will too. 


1. FHM Philippines (Empress Schuck): For their 13th anniversary issue, it is fitting that someone new would grace FHM's cover. I've browsed through its pages and I like what I'm reading.

2. Esquire Philippines (Richard Gomez): Uhm, The Philippines first so-called "Adonis" of his era talks about manhood. This issue is packed with a lot of good stuff but the reason I bought this is because of Jessy Mendiola. I won't tell you what's inside =P

3. Rogue (Rhian Ramos): I think I need to check my stuff back home if Rhian has already graced the covers of Rogue or not. And I need to get one of these before it runs out.

4. Playboy Philippines (Arianne): This would be Playboy Philippines' 50th cover since inception in 2008. I'm not yet sure if its already released but I'm curious on how their interview with Mike Enriquez went. And it also has an alternate cover just in case you want more variety. This always makes me think which cover is better.

Your September Covers

Well, -ber months are here and the weather is getting pretty much cooler and cooler. Ever wonder who would be the covergirl/coverboy of you favorite magazines? Let me share you and my initial impressions.

1. FHM Philippines (Melissa Ricks): At last, she finally say yes to FHM after years of waiting. I guess this would be perfect to start our September.

2. Rogue (Olivia Medina): I have no Idea who she is but the cover is interesting with the Style + Design issue. I have yet to grab a copy as its not yet available.

3. Esquire Philippines (Ramon Ang): After Ben Chan, another tycoon is featured in this months edition. Did Ramon Ang bought the whole world? Will see.

Your August Covergirls

I don't know if I would be able to go home tonight with all roads flooded. Anyways, I was able to browse some of the magazine's covergirls (and man) for this month of August.

1. FHM Philippines (G Tongi): Since when was the last time she posed for FHM? Eleven years ago is it??? But its worth the wait as she welcomed FHM back with open arms. I remember I was still struggling in my career when she posed for FHM the first time.

3. Esquire Philippines (Ben Chan): This would be another first but not for Esquire as Bench's mogul Ben Chan will be on the spotlight. Would you guess what he'll be wearing? XD

4. Playboy Philippines (Iwa Moto): The former three-time FHM cover babe has moved not just from one TV station to another, she also gone for Playboy as well. I'm not complaining as I have yet to see the magazine from cover to cover. Also she has not one but two different cover for readers to choose from. Would choosing the best cover be that hard? XD

Sizzling Covergirls for April

Before I do fasting and penance for April, I need to get my monthly dose of my magazines this April. What should I get? 

1. FHM: Michelle Madrigal: Now a three-time cover-girl, looking at the cover makes one want to quench-off with a tall glass of lemonade (a tall mug of beer for adults). My friend Arra Castro is also one of the FHM Babes inside the magazine.

2. Esquire Philippines' Bianca Gonzales: Now she's going sexy after posing for another men's magazine a few years back. A very active netizen, I'm sure her followers (including me) would storm out to the nearest bookstore to grab a copy.

3. Rogue's Solenn Heusaff: Magnum's Princess is also a three-time cover-girl for Rogue (I have yet to complete my set here).  If you notice that she's covered in a chocolate-like cloth holding an ice cream bar. It seems to me that her advertisement has been extended until here. 

4. Playboy Philippines' Wilma Doesnt: With my set complete (after acquiring May 2008 and September 2009), I may have the drive to complete my set until my daughter would inherit it XD. Its also their 4th anniversary issue with the title Embracing All Colors. I have yet to check what's inside.

I am wondering what's for UNO as I haven't heard from them for quite sometime now.
