Yet I had a chance to check out the Orchid Show last August which was held at Quezon City Memorial Circle. Thanks to Mr. Lawrence Chan for inviting me to this event as I got curious on how broad these group of orchids are.
Before the opening ceremony started, I was able to take some pictures of the orchids while Lawrence gave me some lecture on their scientific names as well as on how they thrive in an environment like ours. But most of their scientific names are pretty long and I'm not the type of person who can recall each and one of them.
Anyway, here are some of the shots that I took as he labeled it one by one on my facebook account.
I hope I could attend the next Orchid Show so I could take more pictures. XD
Will be adding some more pictures here in the next few days. XD

ReplyDeleteIt's fascinating how orchids look differently from each other while they belong to one family, unlike roses to appear the same all the time (just with variant colors). Great shots!
