International Women's Day Centennial

Today marks the centennial for women's day with the theme of “Equal rights, equal opportunities: Progress for all.”

Women from all over the world, from all walks of life celebrate the economic, political and social achievements of women past, present and future. 

Here in the Philippines, the activities are aligned with national and international instruments and treaties such as the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women, the Beijing Platform for Action, the Millennium Development Goals (2000-2015), and the Magna Carta of Women. 

One thing that women here wanted is that the congress should pass the RH Bill (better known as Reproductive Health Bill) now or as soon as possible to alleviate their lives and make everyone comfortable.
