Panagbenga Festival 2011 : Baguio Flower Festival 2011 Schedule of Activities

I've been craving to go to Baguio on a February to attend the Panagbenga Festival. For the nth time, I will be missing it next year since I had to take care of my wife and her pregnancy. Hence, probably I could attend the year after. XD. Anyways, I got this news here since I do visit his blog every now and then.



Last November, the City Government of Baguio formally launched the opening of the 2011 Baguio Flower Festival which is also popularly known as the Panagbenga Festival 2011.

The Panagbenga Festival 2011 theme is : “The Environment and Community in Harmony.” The festival was recognized as one of the countries most celebrated festival with hundreds of street dancers performing in the main thoroughfares of Baguio City. One of the most awaited event is the Flower Float Festival in which several tons of fresh flowers were used to decorate the float representing various organizations.

Here’s the Baguio Flower Festival schedule of activities for 2011:

November 16, 2010 – Launch of Panagbenga 2011
February 1, 2011 – Grand Opening Parade
February 1 – Mar 6, 2011 – Market Encounter
February 12, 2011– Let A Thousand Flowers Bloom
February 13, 2011 – Pre-Valentine Event & Fluvial Float Parade
February 26, 2011 – Grand Panagbenga Street Parade
February 27, 2011 – Grand Float Parade
February 28 – March 6, 2011 – Session Road in Bloom
March 2, 2011 – Pony Boys Day
March 3, 2011 – Central North Luzon Tourism Fair
March 6, 2011 – Grand Closing Ceremony & Grand Fireworks Display (Flowers in the Sky)

The Flower Festival 2011 highlight will be on February 26, 2010 and tourists will visit the Philippines Summer Capital for the the Grand Street Parade. The Grand Panagbenga Street Parade will be showcasing the native Ibalois Dancers which is normally participated by the young and old dancing through Baguio’s main thoroughfares.

I hope I could be there even in spirit. XD

  1. Nice Blog dude you put emphasis on how other people must appreciate this magnificent festival.Last year we attend the festival along with my friends and we are so surprised on that multicolored parade so stunning.
