A 5-hour Transport Show Shootathon.

Last Friday, I went to SM Megamall to attend the 21st Transport Show. Knowing that my camera could be subjected to scrutinizing by the security guards, I made sure to keep it at the bottom of my bag.

I arrived at SM at almost 3:00pm. So far, so good. I head straight up to the Megatrade Hall so I could start shooting cars first. After taking pictures of most of them, its time to take photos of the models.

I think there were more new faces than the old ones as I make sure to take a quick snap or to on them. Most of the crowd (photographers) are on the Premiere Vixens booth as the Vixens were game to pose in front of the camera.

Since the venue of the event wasn't that spacious compared with World Trade Center and SMX Convention Center in Pasay, you would be able to enjoy the transport show in 2-3 hours.

Photos to follow soon. XD

MIAS 2012: Being better and smarter

Last Saturday, I made sure that my leave was filed a month ahead to make-up for my dismissal shoot on last year's MIAS. I still recall the misses I made last year as I wasn't able to cover everything there (except for Russ Swift's Drifting show which I usually miss anyway XD).

I arrived at past 11:30am and scouted the area a little bit. Though I got there a bit late, I wasted no time in taking photographs of cars in a different manner that I never took before. I was able to take at least a hundred shots within two hours.

By 2:00pm, I shifted to shooting the ones responsible for making carshows a success, the carshow models. I was able to take pictures of almost all of them (90%) while taking a look if some of my friends came to the event.

Even if I'm by my lonesome, I made sure to enjoy the event before calling it a day.

Pictures to follow soon. XD

First Hot Import Nights in Manila: Carshow + VIP Concert

I make sure not to miss this event for ages even if I may not be able to have a photo-op with Nikita Esco, Jerri Lee and Arianny Celeste. Some of my friends were able to have a photo-op with them but I guess my time was up and simply enjoyed taking their photos from a distance. XD

I got to the WTC (World Trade Center) at almost 1:00pm and had lunch first at Chicboy before entering the premises. The event seems pretty normal to me as it was almost the same carshow I attend over the years.

What would make it different is the Hot Import Night's Jeri Lee, Nikita Esco and MMA's Arianny Celeste. Whenever they're around, photographers and warm-blooded guys are within a distance to have a chance for a photo-op with them.

By 6:30pm, everyone was advise to go out as they're busy preparing for the VIP Party. This is actually the reason why I have to file my leave XD. We had to fall in line again just to get in. Unfortunately, tickets were sold out (?) which made some upset, rant and go home instead.

When we got back in, I didn't notice the change except for the stage as well as the front row which I have to make my way to the front the hard way. Anyway, I was still able to get some decent shots during the VIP show.

The VIP Show coincides with Wave 89.1's 11th anniversary which makes it much fun as some of their DJ's hosted the show. Mocha girls were there and the search for Ms. HIN  is in progress.

Then, Nikita Esco graced the stage with her dancing moves that all I heard more was clicks of the cameras left and right. Then Jeri Lee was next to perform not outdoing each other but more of complementing each other.

Then the finalists for Ms HIN was announced as KC Montero and Arianny Celeste were on stage to make the event more exciting. As Ms HIN was announced, the crowd chants as they seem they want more.

The event went well till the end, just in time for my battery to go empty. For 400 pesos, I think its pretty much worth it. I hope year would be a much better Hot Import Nights in Manila.

Pictures to follow soon. XD

My 2-day trip at the 20th Transport Show

Since I wasn't able to take much pictures during the Manila International Auto Show 2011, I made sure to maximize my rest days as well as talked to my colleague that I would take some more pictures on its last day (Sunday).

When I visited the 20th Transport Show on its second day (May 27), I got the liberty to shoot as much cars as I can as there were still a few people roaming around.

For a change, I used my 50mm prime lens since it works better at low light (with f/1.8) compared with my kit lens. But the challenge there was foot-zooming (adjusting my frame with the use of my two feet) so I had a fun time shooting.

After shooting cars, I got to shoot some models. Though I've seen most of them from previous carshows (which I took pictures of them already),

I got to take pictures of new models as well. I think my first visit ended a bit early as I need to go home and do some daddy duties.

Come final day, I went back at around 4:00pm to take pictures of models using my 50mm prime lens as my main lens. I kinda enjoyed taking pictures of the models though its much fun if you're with friends.

At the end of the event, I was able to enjoy myself with hundreds of shots I did for two days I hope I could do it again next year.

Here are the rest of the pictures. Till next year =P.

Bumper to Bumper 6: My Last Car Show Attendance

For the year that is. XD

Last Saturday, After having problems getting at least 5 hours of sleep, I went to Bonifacio Global City to attend the last carshow for the year which is bumper to bumper 6. I recalled attending almost all bumper to bumper events except for last year since I got married on the same day of the event XD.

I got there at around 4:00pm and started to check the area where I would be able to concentrate my shooting at. I saw some of my friends there as they have already started shooting.

The cars were still the same throughout the car shows I've attended before but there were new models on sight which I had a chance to take photos of them.

I didn't stay much on the event since I have to report to work that night. Anyway, here are more pictures. XD

My Hotter Summer Nights Experience

If I could split myself into two (as well as my cameras), I could have attended both Bimmerfest and HSN. But I have to spend more time here (HSN).

I arrived there at almost 4:00pm and scouted the area. The place was quite huge. I mean the parking space since its outside NBC Tent and the floor plan that they made was fine with me. I was able to meet-up some friends there and we took pictures at around 4:45pm since the sun was setting quite fast. I was able to take pictures of the cars as well as the models as the sun sets down.

Then as the night progresses, the Bikini Fashion Show was quite disappointing unlike the previous HSN that I have attended 2 years ago. I hope next year would be much better than this one.
