Last Friday, I went to SM Megamall to attend the 21st Transport Show. Knowing that my camera could be subjected to scrutinizing by the security guards, I made sure to keep it at the bottom of my bag.
I arrived at SM at almost 3:00pm. So far, so good. I head straight up to the Megatrade Hall so I could start shooting cars first. After taking pictures of most of them, its time to take photos of the models.
I think there were more new faces than the old ones as I make sure to take a quick snap or to on them. Most of the crowd (photographers) are on the Premiere Vixens booth as the Vixens were game to pose in front of the camera.
Since the venue of the event wasn't that spacious compared with World Trade Center and SMX Convention Center in Pasay, you would be able to enjoy the transport show in 2-3 hours.
Photos to follow soon. XD
Time for a change, for real. Moving on and moving forward towards a better day. A day filled with all things Swabeh!

MIAS 2012: Being better and smarter
Last Saturday, I made sure that my leave was filed a month ahead to make-up for my dismissal shoot on last year's MIAS. I still recall the misses I made last year as I wasn't able to cover everything there (except for Russ Swift's Drifting show which I usually miss anyway XD).
I arrived at past 11:30am and scouted the area a little bit. Though I got there a bit late, I wasted no time in taking photographs of cars in a different manner that I never took before. I was able to take at least a hundred shots within two hours.
By 2:00pm, I shifted to shooting the ones responsible for making carshows a success, the carshow models. I was able to take pictures of almost all of them (90%) while taking a look if some of my friends came to the event.
Even if I'm by my lonesome, I made sure to enjoy the event before calling it a day.
Pictures to follow soon. XD

First Hot Import Nights in Manila: Carshow + VIP Concert
I make sure not to miss this event for ages even if I may not be able to have a photo-op with Nikita Esco, Jerri Lee and Arianny Celeste. Some of my friends were able to have a photo-op with them but I guess my time was up and simply enjoyed taking their photos from a distance. XD
I got to the WTC (World Trade Center) at almost 1:00pm and had lunch first at Chicboy before entering the premises. The event seems pretty normal to me as it was almost the same carshow I attend over the years.
What would make it different is the Hot Import Night's Jeri Lee, Nikita Esco and MMA's Arianny Celeste. Whenever they're around, photographers and warm-blooded guys are within a distance to have a chance for a photo-op with them.
By 6:30pm, everyone was advise to go out as they're busy preparing for the VIP Party. This is actually the reason why I have to file my leave XD. We had to fall in line again just to get in. Unfortunately, tickets were sold out (?) which made some upset, rant and go home instead.
When we got back in, I didn't notice the change except for the stage as well as the front row which I have to make my way to the front the hard way. Anyway, I was still able to get some decent shots during the VIP show.
The VIP Show coincides with Wave 89.1's 11th anniversary which makes it much fun as some of their DJ's hosted the show. Mocha girls were there and the search for Ms. HIN is in progress.
Then, Nikita Esco graced the stage with her dancing moves that all I heard more was clicks of the cameras left and right. Then Jeri Lee was next to perform not outdoing each other but more of complementing each other.
Then the finalists for Ms HIN was announced as KC Montero and Arianny Celeste were on stage to make the event more exciting. As Ms HIN was announced, the crowd chants as they seem they want more.
The event went well till the end, just in time for my battery to go empty. For 400 pesos, I think its pretty much worth it. I hope year would be a much better Hot Import Nights in Manila.

One-Shot at Manila Auto Salon 2011
Taken from Google
Well this has been another post due last week but due to unforeseen circumstances, I have to move it to a latter date (today). I was suppose to attend this event twice (Friday and Sunday) but I wasn't able to do it due to unforseen circumstances again XD.
When I got to SMX at 11:00am, I didn't waste any time to shoot some cars first while there weren't much people yet. For me, if I wanted to shoot cars without getting bumped or distracted, I go to carshows early so I would be able to get good shots.
I was able to take pictures of cars but I did it on a different perspective and angle. By 1:00pm, I'm already done and I feel a little bit hungry so I went out to eat first. It was 2:30pm when I got back to SMX to take pictures of the lovely car show models.

I just strolled around first to look for new faces but I couldn't recall if I was able to take a quick snap or two. Most of the lovely carshow models I saw at SMX were the same faces for the past couple of car shows.
Sometimes I get a little bit reluctant to take their pictures but eventually I take pictures of them as time progresses. I do saw some of my friends taking pictures and having a chat with other models and fellow photographers who usually frequent these carshows.

Philippine Fashion Week 2011: Triumph's 125th Anniversary Fashion Show
I am one of the lucky 200 who won a contest from facebook about this event and I made sure I would be able to go as the show was held last Thursday (October 27, 2011) at SMX Convention Center Function Room 4.When my friend told me about it, it was all systems go for me and revisit Philippine Fashion Week since 2008.
Being a pioneer in lingerie industry, Triumph celebrates its 125th year in the industry and what would be a perfect way to celebrate it is through the Philippine Fashion Week 2011: Spring-Summer Collection 2012. Together with the top names in the industry, we are in for a treat XD.
I got there as early as 4:30pm as I saw a long queue of people who were mostly in style. My friends and I went there in style, in jeans XD. Once we got in, we head to the photographer's ramp as we had to secure a good spot to take clearer pictures. Once we secured our spots, only time awaits for the show to begin.
One by one, the ramp models did their ramp and I noticed some of the well-known celebrities (models) like Ornussa Cadness, Mia Ayessa, Sanya Smith graced the ramp and strut their stuff while walking. At the same time, the clicks from the shutter of all cameras near me made symphony to my ears as I took mine too. I got to check some of my shots and somehow it looks good though I have to improve more.
The show climaxed as Ms Ruffa Gutierrez walked down the ramp and pleasantly smiled and posed for the photographers. Those were the times I'm running out of batteries but thank God I got to take a picture or two of her.
After the event, we stayed at a booth where my friend's friend stays and rested for a while before we decided to eat somewhere and head home.
Anyway, here are the rest of the photos that I took during the fashion show.
