Welcome! XD
Carrying my favorite bottle of San Mig Light XD.
Boy, I'm still lucky that I was able to attend this event for the 5th time and I don't need to file any vacation leave or make an excuse just to go there. This would be the first time I'm attending the event even if I'm not sure if I could get in or not. But thanks to one of my friends (who happens to be a moderator of the FHM Bullboard), my dreams still come true.
Taken from the left side as I'm in front row. XD
Last Thursday, I was one of the lucky thousands (around 6500 in attendance) who was able to witness the show live and as close as I could get. This year, their theme was Burlesque (I think it was inspired by the movie of the same theme starring Christina Aguilera and Cher), much different from last year's (Carnaval). I got at the WTC at around 6:00pm to meet some of my friends and to have the first chance of a good position when we get in. As usual, there were scalpers outside trying to victimize those poor fellows who are really desperate to get in. At around 7:30pm the queue was starting to move forward, which means we got in earlier than expected (It really pays to be early).
When we got inside, I noticed that the stage was a bit bigger and on its has a diamond-shape in the middle though the concrete pillar on the middle ruined it but still, that's fine by me. Since the program proper starts at around 10:00pm (we have an hour and a half to enjoy some side shows courtesy of FHM's sponsors), we took pictures of some of the models who were promoting their respective brand sponsors. Most of them clad in sexy, burlesque outfit that most men would love to stare at XD. There were various gimmicks wherein if you purchase an item from them or join their contest, you could have you picture taken with the lovely models. I used to remember my first FHM 100 sexiest party I attended years back where lovely women are game in taking your photos with them without doing any sales pitch.
At around 8:30pm, My friends and I grouped ourselves near the stage. This would be the closest that I've got to the stage after four tries. In my last year's attempt to go near the stage, my view was not just completely blocked, I had to muscle my way as the place was really crowded with people. My legs were starting to get a little bit cramped but I was able to manage. The show started with a parade of models from their respective sponsors like Belo, San Mig Light, RRJ, and Premiere Max. That was the time that most of us photographers started to click our shutter to get that winning shot.
Then after the parade of beautiful models, Burlesque-inspired production numbers came one after the other. Eula Valdes started the show that most guys were really look forward to. Then, it was followed by Michelle Madrigal's chair dance which I mistook her as Bangs Garcia XD. Then poles started to be brought down as Daiana Menezes and Iwa Moto started started the show followed by a cage and tango number by Jef Gaitan, Paw Diaz, Stef Prescot and Wendy Valdes. Their production gave me a headache as which of them I'd take picture at XD. Then another Burlesque-inspired S&M number was prepared by Regine Angeles. Too bad I wasn't able to meet her in person during her autograph signing as I have work that time. The entire production number of these lovely women took probably around more than 30 minutes as my camera (and flash) got hot XD.
Then came the roll-call for 2011's 100 sexiest from 100 down to number 1. I think less than 50 gorgeous women only came to say thanks to those who supported them throughout the campaign. Most people have their own bets and I'm pretty sure they screamed to their hearts content as their favorites walked down the ramp. Then, everyone was looking forward to Sam Pinto's performance and her walk as well. Her number probably took more or less five to ten minutes as everyone clicked their cameras away despite unfavorable lighting condition.
For me, this was the best FHM 100 sexiest party so far as I was able to take good pictures compared to the previous years.
I hope I would be able to attend the event for the 6th time next year. XD
The lovely Daiana Menezes

Wow! Great Shots :)
ReplyDeleteHow early did you have to be so that you could be near the stage?
Thanks a bunch! ^_^
DeleteIf I recall, we got in at 8:00pm. When we got in, instead of taking pictures or participating of the sideshows, we waited patiently in front of the stage (for a change). ^_^
geez! all of them are sexy!! gotta work hard more in the gym haha! love katrina halili so much! xx
ReplyDeleteSame here Mary Jane. People should have let Katrina be the #1 sexiest for three years in a row instead of two (2006-2007).
Deletei bet this was a great event :) especially for the men haha! :)
ReplyDeleteActually it is. But then again, a lot of women do enjoy the show as some of them have VIP access (something I wanted to get this year). ^_^
DeleteSummer is hot as it is, but it's a lot hotter here in your site! Now I know why Blogger puts an adult content notice on your page. :))
ReplyDeleteUhm. I hope not. My page is so wholesome you know. :D

Deletemark, bakit ba lagi kang naiimbitahan sa event na tulad nito... invite mo naman ako o... joke... hahaha... parang nkikinita ko na si sam pinto talaga... lol. thanks for sharing the pics.
ReplyDeletebro, paki-activate nlng ng name/url sa "comment as" mo so wala ng maglagay ng link sa comment nila sayo... thanks. Yahweh bless.
Uhm. Di naman po palaging naiimbitahan. Pahirapan pa nga pagkuha ng mga tickets para dyan :D.
DeleteAhhh, so this is how they all look without photoshop...
ReplyDeleteThanks but I had to do some minor retouches in Photoshop to make it much better :D
DeleteI saw Sam up close and I can tell that she's exactly the same as you see her on TV. Di tulad ng ibang artista na super ganda sa TV pero halos di mo ma-recognize kapag off cam na. Hihi.
ReplyDeleteYep. I saw her before sa autograph Signing nya a year before this party. ^_^
